Arrival at Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a professional driver-guide from Africa Gorilla Encounter Limited. After a short briefing about your Uganda primate safari, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, where you can unwind after your international journey.

Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy optional activities such as visiting the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Your guide will ensure you are comfortable and ready for the adventure ahead.

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Crater Lakes Tour

After breakfast, your journey to western Uganda begins. Your Africa Gorilla Encounter Limited guide will drive you through scenic landscapes—rolling tea plantations, lush countryside, and dramatic Rift Valley escarpments. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, with several photo stops along the way.

Arrive in Kibale Forest National Park, the “Primate Capital of the World,” boasting over 13 primate species. After lunch at your lodge, enjoy an afternoon Crater Lakes Exploration, visiting the picturesque Ndali–Kasenda crater region. The panoramic views and cultural encounters make this a perfect introduction to the forest region.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing before setting off on the unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Kibale Forest is famous for its habituated chimpanzee families, offering a 95% sighting success rate. Your day begins early with a hearty breakfast and a transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. Today, you will experience one of the world’s most extraordinary wildlife encounters—Uganda Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi, guided by skilled rangers and trackers.

Trek through Bwindi’s dense rainforest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. The trekking duration can be 2–8 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is unparalleled. Once found, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing them—silverbacks displaying dominance, mothers nurturing their babies, and playful juveniles tumbling through the foliage.
